Q: DOWNLOADING THE FILES TAKES TOO LONG

A

Another source of difficulty in viewing large documents may be the speed of your modem, and/or the memory available on your computer. If you have an older computer or a slower modem (28.8K or lower), you may experience long download times.

If this is the situation, we suggest using the facilities of your local public library. Computers at public libraries typically have faster connections and later versions of software than many home computers. Also, library staff often are able to offer some technical assistance in viewing web documents.
